National Concrete Pavement Technology Center
(CP Tech Center)
ISCP Organizational Member since 2006
The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CP Tech Center) was initially founded as the Center for Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Technology (PCC Center) at Iowa State University in 2000. In 2005, with the support of the American Concrete Pavement Association and others, the center was formally renamed to indicate its new national focus.
The CP Tech Center’s mission is to unite key transportation stakeholders—federal and state agencies, private industry, and the research community across the country—around the central goal of advancing concrete pavement technology.
The center is founded on the guiding principles of bringing together partners to leverage funds and pool interests, extending the value of research investments for a wide range of stakeholders; facilitating cooperation and encouraging coordination of research and technology transfer activities taking place across the country; partnering with interested universities to accomplish research priorities; and working with all interested stakeholders to build consensus, advance research priorities of common interest, and accelerate implementation of promising technologies.
