Instituto del Cemento y del Hormigón de Chile (ICH) or the Institute of Cement and Concrete of Chile was founded in 1966 as a non-profit organization by the Chilean Camera of Construction and the three majors companies in the area: Cementos Bío-Bío S.A., Melón S.A. and Polpaico S.A.
The ICH mission is to promote new and better uses of cement and concrete in various applications through technology development for good practices in concrete construction. Their objectives are to improve the quality, to reduce costs and improve the productivity of the construction in Chile.
The main resource of the ICH is its team of professionals. They have managed to integrate a set of industrialists, specialists, professionals and engineers giving practical services, studies and solutions around the idea of spreading knowledge on construction.
