Technical Committee on
Concrete Pavement Sustainability
Updated January 27, 2012
Background
Sustainable design and construction practices of our transport network are becoming an increasingly important consideration for road owners, contractors and suppliers. As this is an emerging field, there is a significant gap in understanding and knowledge about what sustainable practices mean in the context of concrete pavements. In recognition of this, ISCP aims to serve the concrete pavement community by staying informed about new advancement in the field of concrete pavement sustainability, and by disseminating this information broadly for public consumption.
Goal
The goal of this committee is to compile and share information that will contribute to the improved sustainability of concrete pavements.
The committee will work closely with the Technology Transfer Committee in disseminating this information. In keeping with the theme of sustainability, the committee will be mindful of sustainable practices in the delivery of the goal.
