In 1891, an 8-ft-wide section of the first concrete pavement was placed on Main Street in front of the Logan CountyĀ Courthouse in Bellefontaine, Ohio, USA. A segment placed in 1893 on Court Street still remains in service today.Ā ISCP co-sponsored aĀ 125th Anniversary CelebrationĀ of the first concrete pavement in the United States. The event wasĀ held on Monday, April 25, 2016 inĀ Bellefontaine, Ohio, oneĀ day prior to the National Concrete Consortium (NCC)Ā Spring meetingā€”heldĀ April 26-28, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio.Ā The event was organized by theĀ Task Force on Preservation of Artifacts from Historical Concrete PavementsĀ andĀ Co-sponsored by:
