ISCP Held Annual Open Membership & Board Meeting in Washington, DC

On January 7, 2017, the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP) held its annual open membership and board meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, USA.

Highlights of the meeting included the following:

  • A proposed 2017 budget was presented by Jake Hiller, Secretary-Treasurer. Final Society financial statements for 2016 were also presented and reviewed.  Due to the success of the 11th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (11th ICCP) and organizational membership, the Society is in sound financial condition.
  • President Jeff Roesler introduced the upcoming webinar series to be unveiled in 2017 in collaboration with the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA). Joint webinar efforts with EUPAVE, ASCP, and a four-part Spanish-language series were also discussed.
  • Leif Wathne, ISCP Director and Conference Chair and Corey Zollinger, ISCP Director, gave an overview from the 11th International Conference on Concrete Pavements (11th ICCP). Discussions regarding the planning of the 12th International Conference on Concrete Pavements in 2020 also ensued.

There was extensive discussion of the benefits of ISCP organizational membership (what they currently are and what additional benefits would be useful) as well as discussion of membership recruitment and retention efforts.
