EUPAVE to be represented at FIRM17, Registration Ends March 24

The Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL) Infrastructure Research Meeting 2017 (FIRM17), will be held April 5, 6, 7, 2017 at the Diamond Conference and Business Center, in Brussels, Belgium. The conference will feature “The future of road business: a public-private enterprise embracing infrastructure and vehicles across all modes”.

Main highlights of FIRM17 will be:
• Presentation of the new Strategy of FEHRL (SERRP)
• Key addresses from the main stakeholders (EC, CEDR, PIARC, ERTRAC, ECTP)
• Outline of the vision for the future cross-modal transport infrastructure and its implementation plan
• Round table of the deployment of automated connected vehicles and a workshop about training and knowledge transfer for transport stakeholders

FIRM17 will feature multiple information sessions and include the final conferences of the two Horizon 2020 projects USE-iT and REFINET, and An Exhibition that will showcase the last findings on:
• Automated inspection of transportation infrastructure
• Others to be confirmed

**EUPAVE will be represented by Karl Downey, EUPAVE Secretary General on Day 2 at 11:00. Karl, alongside Karsten Carcher, EAPA, will give a presentation on EUPAVE-EAPA-FEHRL common position paper, “CO2 savings by maintaining and upgrading roads”. **The ECLIPS project, in which EUPAVE is a partner, will be presented by Edurne Erkizia, Tecnalia on Day 3 at 9:55.
