ASCP 3-Hour Forum “Concrete Pavements for Airfields” to be Held Wed, Sept 9

The Australian Society for Concrete Pavements will hold a 3-hour Forum titled “Concrete Pavements for Airfields” on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 16:00 to 19:00 h (4.00 pm to 7.00 pm), in the Aurecon offices, in the Santos Building at 32 Turbot Street, Brisbane, Australia. (Please register on the 14th floor, then go to 6th floor conference room).

Following the Sydney Forum in March 2015 and the ASCP 2015 Conference in Coffs Harbour, this forum will concentrate more closely on the present status of the new Parallel runway project, including:

  • Program status
  • Project overview
  • Functional pavement requirements
  • Pavement design aspect and details
  • Factors leading to the selection of concrete for some of the airfield pavements

It will also include a presentation on current overseas practices and experience for slipforming of concrete airfield pavements and especially runways.
