Commemorative Program Now Available: 125th Anniversary Tour of the Oldest Concrete Street in America

In 1891, an 8-ft-wide section of the first concrete pavement was placed on Main Street in front of the Logan County Courthouse in Bellefontaine, Ohio, USA. A segment placed in 1893 on Court Street still remains in service today. ISCP co-sponsored a 125th Anniversary Celebration of the first concrete pavement in the United States. The event was held on Monday, April 25, 2016 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, one day prior to the National Concrete Consortium (NCC) Spring meeting—held April 26-28, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio. The event was organized by the Task Force on Preservation of Artifacts from Historical Concrete Pavements and Co-sponsored by:
