The Cement Association of Canada (CAC) is hosting a cross-Canada seminar series highlighting the newly published ACI 330.2R-17 guideline âGuide for the Design and Construction of Concrete Site Paving for Industrial & Trucking Facilitiesâ.
This next Workshopâfourth in a series across Canadaâwill be held:

The first workshop took place on May 25 in Toronto; the second, June 27 in Vancouver; and the third, September 19 in Halifax, NS.
Hosts in partnership are the local ready-mix concrete association, American Concrete Institute (ACI) QuÊbec and Eastern Ontario chapters, American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA), and Association BÊton QuÊbec (ABQ). These workshops are also sponsored nationally and locally in each location (please see seminar website).
This across-Canada seminar series will be a great chance to learn about opportunities in industrial pavements. Attendees will learn how to design and construct these facilities using the ACI 330.2R-17 âDesign and Construction of Concrete Paving for Industrial & Trucking Facilitiesâ. Owners, developers, consultants, contractors and others in the concrete industry will have the opportunity to network with leaders in this field and learn about how this technology can give concrete pavers a competitive advantage.
Industrial & Trucking Facilities require a strong, durable pavement that can stand up to the heavy and specialized loading. Industrial pavements require special attention with respect to design and construction, as these projects are typically quite large and will be exposed to industrial-type vehicles as well as over-the-road trucks.

⢠Optimized Designs for Industrial Concrete Pavements â using ACI 330.2R-17, StreetPave & OptiPave
⢠Geotechnical Considerations for Industrial Concrete Pavements, including strategies for freeze/thaw climates
⢠Mixture Proportioning to ensure a strong, durable pavement, including strategies for freeze/thaw climates
⢠Mixture Proportioning using fibres and new design methodologies, to optimize pavement thickness and minimize curling
⢠Construction Methods and Details, including different types of equipment that can be used to pave these facilities
