13th ISCR-2018 to be Held in June in Berlin, Germany—Early Bird Registration Ends Feb 28, 2018

The German “InformationsZentrum Beton”, together with EUPAVE and partners—including the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP) are pleased to invite you to take part in the promising 13th International Symposium on Concrete Roads (13th ISCR-2018) to be held June 19-22, 2018 in Berlin, Germany, capital of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Conference and Exhibition take place at the TITANIC Chausses Hotel in central Berlin with the motto “Concrete Connects”. The biennial German Conference on Concrete Pavements, the “FSGV Betonstrassentagung” will take place during 13th International Symposium on Wednesday, June 20.

Early Bird Registration ends February 28, 2018

“Concrete connects” is the motto of the 13th International Symposium on Concrete Roads—the world’s leading symposium on concrete roads. Over 100 experts will give talks about concrete road construction, specifically current planning, construction and maintenance of concrete pavements, and highlight operational aspects of manufacturing. Along with expert talks, there will be special excursions with “concrete” theme; technical visits in Berlin and the vicinity; an evening cruise on the “River Spree”; and a supporting program for attendees to learn about the German capital and its many facets.

In total, around 90 papers will be presented orally during the academic sessions, and the others will be invited to the poster session. The International Technical Program Committee received papers from 24 countries, and categorized them into the following themes:

  • Theme 1: High axle-load areas
  • Theme 2: Highways and truck parking areas
  • Theme 3: Urban and rural roads, intersections and roundabouts
  • Theme 4: Materials – Concrete for various applications
  • Theme 5: Precast systems
  • Theme 6: Maintenance strategies, assessment of structural capacity of concrete pavements
  • Theme 7: Surface characteristics and modern methods of execution
  • Theme 8: General reports on application of concrete pavements
  • Theme 9: Quality control and testing
  • Theme 10: Big Data – concepts to optimize the use of entire infrastructure networks
  • Theme 11: Soil treatment and base layers
