ASCP will be conducting WORKSHOP SESSIONS following the 2019 Australian Society for Concrete Pavements (ASCP) 5th Concrete Pavements Conference to be held July 21-24, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley in NSW, Australia. The objective in holding workshops is to determine how ASCP can best position concrete pavements as economically viable and competitive, durable in the long term, of high quality, and sustainable. The outcomes from the workshops are to develop a forward plan necessary to achieve the objectives for each workshop topic.
Wednesday July 24, 2019:
Half-Day Morning WORKSHOP—Will include Tea and Coffee on arrival, Morning Tea, and Lunch—
TOPIC 1: Major concrete road pavement value: Concrete road pavement value including competitiveness, whole of life benefits, asset owner investment decisions, and related issues
TOPIC 2: Major concrete road pavement upgrades and rehabilitation: Asset owner viable options for major concrete road pavement upgrades and rehabilitation including widening, extending and reusing
Half-Day Afternoon WORKSHOP—Will includes Lunch and Afternoon Tea—
TOPIC: Roller Compacted Concrete: Partnered by Aran Australia. It will include a presentation on RCC pavement design, mix design, aggregates, construction methods, sub-base preparation, jointing, surface finishing, trouble shooting, pitfalls to be avoided, and project cost and schedule benefits.
