ACPA Welcomes New Vice-President of Marketing, Scott J. Mueller

The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is pleased to introduce Scott J. Mueller as the newly appointed ACPA Vice-President of Marketing. Scott brings a wealth of experience and expertise to ACPA and will be providing leadership to national marketing programs and local promotion initiatives.

Mueller’s previous professional experience includes global, senior marketing and strategy leadership roles in companies where he blended marketing and technology to develop and implement brand strategies through channel disruption, innovation and digital marketing.

Prior to joining ACPA, he served as:
• Chief Revenue Officer-Jelmar LLC: A Skokie, Illinois-based company recognized as the market leader in specialty chemicals and cleaners, notably under the brand name of  “CLR”. Scott was responsible for sales, marketing, business- and product-development.
• Director of Marketing, Worldwide-AMCOL International Corp.: A Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based holding company engaged in industrial/manufacturing markets (mining and construction technologies), consumer packaged goods/food, pet care, cosmetics, and healthcare.
• Director of Marketing (Global)-Dayton Superior Corporation in Dayton, Ohio: A leading provider of concrete accessories, chemicals, forming products and paving products for the non-residential construction industry.

Mueller holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from Michigan State University. He is also certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in the Six Sigma Master’s Program from the Chicago Deming Association. His project leadership has been recognized with Awards and Honors, including a platinum award in websites from the Hermes Creative Awards Program and website-of-the-month honors from Kentico. In his spare time, Mueller is involved with several industry and civic organizations.
