The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is now accepting submittals for projects for the 30th Annual a“Excellence in Concrete Pavements Awards” Program for projects completed in the calendar year 2018.
Submittals must be received by the deadline date of Friday, July 12th, 2019.
The “ACPA Excellence in Concrete Paving Awards Program” is designed to honor quality concrete pavements constructed in the United States and Canada each year. The program encourages high-quality workmanship in every concrete pavement project, serves as a forum for sharing information about highly successful projects, and recognizes contractors, engineers, and project owners who completed outstanding projects. Winning an Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement provides the contractors, engineers, and owners with a level of prestige that can assist them in the development of future projects.
Judges will score all eligible projects and break any ties.
Based on the judging results, two projects will be selected
from each category to receive an award:
GOLD AWARD
top scoring project in each category
SILVER AWARD
second highest scoring project
The judging process takes approximately six weeks. Project contacts will be notified of the results when the judging process concludes and winners should expect to receive a mailed letter or email by Friday, September 13, 2019. Award winners will receive an invitation to attend the 30th Annual Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards BANQUET on Thursday, December 5th at the New Orleans Marriott. The banquet will be held during the ACPA 56th Annual Meeting—to be held December 2-5, 2019 in New Orlean, Louisiana, USA. The GOLD or SILVER award level will be announced for the first time at the awards banquet!
