This webinar, which will look at
two common pavement restoration/preservation techniques:
• Dowel bar retrofit (DBR)
• Diamond grinding of pavement surfaces
The webinar will also:
• Identify early age concrete behavior that necessitates jointing
• Identify the types of concrete pavement joints
• Apply accepted principles to establish reasonable slab geometries
• Identify conditions that require specific jointing or targeted reinforcing steel.

John Roberts, Executive Director-International Grooving and Grinding Association, will review best practices for these pavement preservation techniques
Joe EchelleAssistant Executive Director Maintenance, Engineering & Construction-Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, will provide an overview of how that agency has successfully implemented these practices into their pavement management program
