In partnership with The Concrete Society-Northern Ireland Region/Surry, England, the Rapid International LtdFinland will host online technical seminar on the benefits of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) as a more accessible concrete pavement. The technical seminar will be of interest to all those who are involved in the design, specification and construction of concrete, including concrete producers, engineering contractors, consulting engineers, concrete technologists and site supervisory personnel.
The online technical seminar will define RCC and its:
— Typical Uses
—Market Growth Opportunities
—Advantages over traditional blacktop/vibrated-concrete pavements
—Advice on mix designs
—Suitable machinery

Already well-established in the US and Canada, and growing in popularity across Europe, RCC is a high-strength pavement application offering durability, cost efficiency, fast construction and high load-carrying abilities. Well-suited for use on roads, at ports, airports, and industrial facilities, RCC is a zero-slump concrete mix typically placed with an asphalt-type paver, followed by a combination of passes with rollers for compaction.

Technical Presentations are presentations to improve knowledge and competitiveness are given at our head office and regionally by the technical staff. These are typically CPD accredited:
• Concreting in cold weather
• Identity Testing – consistence, cubes and cores
• Visual Concrete Finishes
• Blemishes, Defects and Deterioration of Concrete
Help to achieve the Certificate in Concrete Technology & Construction: Stage 1 – Concrete Practice
• Basics in Concrete Technology
• Concrete Structural Design for Non-Engineers

• In-House Training
—Our engineers will come to your offices and speak on key topics tailored to your company’s need
