The Organizing Committee, and Secretary Generals Dr. Dar Hao Chen-Texas A&M Transportation Institute-University of Oklahoma and Dr. Bitang Zhu-East China Jiaotong University, of the 6th GeoChina International Conference are pleased to invite you to attend the 2021 Conference to be held in Nanchang, China from September 18 to 19, 2021. This conference theme is “Civil & Transportation Infrastructures: From Engineering to Smart & Green Life Cycle Solutions”. Nanchang (Chinese: 南昌, Nanchang dialect: Lantsong) is the capital of Jiangxi Province in southeastern China and the largest city in Jiangxi Province. Located in the hinterland of Yuzhang Plain in the central part of Jiangxi Province, Nanchang is a famous historical and cultural city with a long and splendid history of over 2,200 years that meets with the 21st Century’s modern developments! It was called “Yuzhang” during the Han dynasty, and “Hongdu” and “Hongcheng” from the Tang to Song dynasties.
Co-sponsored by ASCE-Geo Institute, USA; International Grooving and Grinding Association (IGGA); Texas Transportation Institute; Transportation Research Board (TRB); the University of Oklahoma-College of Engineering; and many other international sponsors, this 6th conference will provide a showcase for recent developments and advancements in design, construction, and offer a forum to discuss and debate future technical, scientific, and commercial directions for the 21st Century with colleagues from all over the world.

Final papers were submitted in January 2021 and the planning committee is ready!
The Best Paper Awards will be presented in GeoChina 2021 to authors whose works represent novel research with significant real-world applications. By recognizing these selected papers for their originality and significance, GeoChina 2021 highlights some of the theoretical and practical innovations that are likely to shape the future of infrastructure design and construction.
Accepted papers will be published in:
Edited Books by Springer-DE—will be indexed in EI and submitted for inclusion in ISI “Thomson Reuters”
Selected papers from the conference may be considered for publications in the special issue/collections of:
(1) Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities, ASCE (SCI Indexed),
(2) Journal of Testing and Evaluation, ASTM International (SCI Indexed),
(3) International Journal of Geomechanics, ASCE (SCI Indexed)
subjected to a full peer review process as set forth by the Editors of ASTM International and ASCE.
As papers are accepted by ASCE, they will appear in a regular issue of the ASCE journal.
