Due to all the uncertainties provided by the worldwide pandemic situation, the APT2020 Organizing Committee and TRB postponed the 6th International APT Conference from March 2020 to September 2021, then ultimately to April 4-6, 2022!

Following the success of the 5 previous conferences held in Nevada (1999), Minnesota (2004), Spain (2008), California (2012), and Costa-Rica (2016), the 6th APT conference in Nantes will give a great opportunity for researchers and professionals to share their knowledge on:
Accelerated pavement testing to transport infrastructure innovation: https://apt2020.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/4 https://lames.univ-gustave-eiffel.fr/en/

PROGRAM: (https://apt2020.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/12)

There will be two distinguished lecturers:
Dr. Imad L. Al-Qadi, Professor, Engineering-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Director-Illinois Center for Transportation, and DirectorSmart Transportation Infrastructure Initiative—Prior to joining UIUC, Dr. Imad was Via Professor-Virginia Tech. He has authored/coauthored more than 700 publications; led more than 120 projects to completion; is managing nearly 50 projects annually. He was PresidentASCE T&DI Board of Governors and currently is Editor-in-Chief, IJPE. Imad has received numerous prestigious awards including: NSF Young Investigator Award; IGS Award; ASCE Laurel Prize; ARTBA Steinberg Award; and ASCE Turner Award. In his research, Dr. Erlingsson, has been responsible for VTI´s APT facility consisting of an HVS of type MARK IV. He is further responsible for three instrumented in-service roads with heavy traffic in Northern Sweden. The topic of his talk will be on thin flexible pavements response to heavy loads, instrumentation and modeling and their deterioration in harsh climatic environment.

WORKSHOPS: (https://apt2020.sciencesconf.org/resource/page/id/13)

There will be two Workshops during the afternoon of April 3, 2022 (2:00PM – 5:00PM):
W1: Simulation of ambient environment actions in APT
Chairs: Luis Loria-Salazar, UCR and Angel Mateos, UCPRC
Any accelerated pavement test requires that ambient environment actions be simulated adequately. Nonetheless, the meaning of “ambient environment actions” varies from one APT program to another—depending in part on the country or region’s climate—and from one test to another—subject to the pavement/material types used in the testing and the test goals…
W2: APT Program Data for Efficient Present & Future Use
Chairs: Jeremy Lea, UCPRC and Rongzong Wu, UCPRC
This workshop will focus on methods of managing the large quantities of data obtained from an APT program, the processes and procedures for validating and reducing the data to manageable quantities for analysis, and linking the data to associated laboratory and field tests. It will also discuss tying together the entire program’s data…
