ISCP Honorary Member Geoff Ayton wins Ray Fisher Award for Technical Excellence 2022

Roads Australia has announced that the recipient for the 2022 Ray Fisher Award for Technical Excellence will be Mr. Geoffrey Paul (“Geoff”) Ayton. The award is bestowed to Geoff for his “personal contributions to technical excellence in the Australian transport highway infrastructure through construction quality over the past 40 years”. Geoff has been an ISCP honorary member since 2015 and a member of ISCP since 2001.

Geoff received his BE in Civil Engineering by the University of Newcastle. His work shows technical elements that have been recognized as uniquely “Geoff’s” both in Australia and internationally. His technical expertise and experience continue to be sought throughout industry especially regarding concrete pavements for which he dedicated over nearly 50 years of his career. Congratulations, Geoff!

About the Ray Fisher Award for Technical Excellence
The Ray Fisher Award for Technical Excellence recognizes an individual for technical excellence in the broader transport industry. Previously known as the RA Award for Technical Excellence, it was renamed in 2019 to honor our former President and Life Member, Ray Fisher. To be eligible, a nominee’s field of contribution must be in a technical or scientific area relevant to transport in Australia. Their contribution must be outstanding, measured directly in terms of impact on the industry, including the transformational change to the industry.
