In a bid to foster international collaboration and technological advancement in the transportation sector, the World Transport Convention (WTC) 2024 is set to take place in Qingdao, Shandong Province in June 2024, attracting global researchers, scholars, and practitioners. The event will serve as a pivotal platform for participants to present groundbreaking work, exchange experiences, and address contemporary challenges in the industry.
Scope and Requirements
Papers are solicited in various transportation and related fields, including Highway Engineering, Bridge Engineering, Tunnel Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation planning, Waterborne Transportation, Rail Transit, Air Transportation, and interdisciplinary areas. Both unpublished and published papers are accepted, encouraging a diverse range of contributions. Full papers or extended abstracts, in either Chinese or English, are welcome.
Submission Guidelines
Authors submitting full papers should ensure authenticity and originality, refraining from plagiarism of previously published works. The submissions should not exceed seven pages, with a preference for lengths less than 5,000 words. For extended abstracts, a limit of approximately 1,000 words is recommended. Authors whose papers pass the review process are invited to present their work at the conference, with registration fees applicable.
Publication Opportunities
The proceedings of WTC 2024 will be published, offering a comprehensive overview of the conference’s scholarly contributions. Authors have the option to include their papers in the conference proceedings or an abstract compendium. Additionally, a digital compendium of abstracts will be distributed to all participants as a conference guidebook.
Submission and Key Dates
Submission opens on December 6, 2023, and the deadline for papers aiming to be included in the proceedings is February 23, 2024. For papers to be included in the abstract compendium and presentations for authors opting to give a presentation only, the deadline is March 5, 2024.
