The National Council for Cement and Building Materials – Incubation Centre (NCB-IC), India, is organizing a hackathon “CemHack for Green Infra” for fostering innovation th th in the areas of Cement, Concrete, and Building Materials, from 20 May, 2025 to 30 October, 2025 at its headquarters in Ballabgarh, India. The hackathon is open to students, researchers, startups, and industry professionals. The main themes of the hackathon are:
- Green Cement (Alternative Raw Materials, Higher use & new types of Supplementary Cementitious Materials, new Binders, AI/ML applications, etc.)
- Green Process (H2 , Solar Thermal, Micro Grids, Waste Heat Recovery, Alternative Fuels, AI/ML applications, etc.)
- Green Concrete (Sustainable & Novel Materials, Special Concrete application, Sustainable Repair and Rehabilitation Techniques, AI/ML applications, etc.)
- Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage in Cement Industry
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management in Cement and Construction Industry
- Achieving Net Zero and Sustainable Development Goals in Cement and Construction Industry
The Hackathon invites teams of 4 members along with a mentor from industry or academia. The winners will be selected by a panel of experts from NCB, Industry and Academia, and will have the opportunity to be incubated at NCB-IC to commercialize their innovation.
