The Institute for Transportation (InTrans) at Iowa State University is on the hunt for a new Principal Engineer to join the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CP Tech Center). This pivotal role is a one-year, fixed-term position with the opportunity for renewal, offering an experienced concrete engineer the chance to make a significant impact on a national scale. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least eight years of related experience. A master’s degree and a professional engineering license are strongly preferred. The CP Tech Center is a national hub for concrete pavement research and technology transfer, founded in 2000. It plays a crucial role in advancing strategic improvements in how concrete pavements are specified, built, and maintained. The new Principal Engineer will be vital to this mission, ensuring the center’s continued relevance and financial stability by maintaining key relationships and securing new funding. This is a full-time position located in Ames, Iowa, with nationwide travel required.
