CTRG 2025 held in Guwahati, India

The Transportation Research Group of India, India’s premier society for research in Transportation Engineering, hosted its biannual conference, the 8th Conference of the Transportation Research Group of India (CTRG 2025), in Guwahati, India, from December 17-20, 2025. The Conference was co-hosted with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. Over 400 participants from various top universities in India and abroad participated, presenting over 300 technical papers – 179 of them in pavements and materials alone!

The conference was preceded by the first TRG Young Professionals Conference (YPC), which brought together professionals in Transportation Engineering from industry and academic for workshops and poster presentations on a variety of topics. Prof. Animesh Das, Professor at IIT Kanpur, conducted a workshop on pavement analysis as part of the YPC.

Dr. Sushobhan Sen from IIT Gandhinagar, ISCP’s Secretary-Treasurer, also participated in the conference with his students. His paper, with PhD student Ankita Singh and postdoc Dr. Sumit Nandi, was awarded the Best Paper Award in the theme of Pavements & Materials. The paper as titled, “Analyzing Failure Mechanisms in Concrete Block Pavements.”
