The article, titled “America must invest in resilient, enduring infrastructure”, features Laura O’Neill Kaumo, president and CEO of the American Concrete Pavement Association.
This is an interesting perspective on the need to evaluate infrastructure, including pavements, as a long-term investment in the United States. The article does a great job of discussing how concrete pavements offer improved resilience to both typical weather and traffic as well as extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, tornados, floods, and wildfires.
