The International Society for Concrete Pavements is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Dan Zollinger. Dan has been a fixture within our community and society, having served as a past ISCP president and an honorary member since 2014. The society is indebted to him for his contributions, and he will be greatly missed.
Dan was a faculty member at Texas A&M since 1988, where for over 35 years he shared his passion for teaching and research with his colleagues and students. He was always recognized for both his enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge, which he readily shared in the lab, classroom, and conferences. Outside of his professional contributions, Dan was known to be an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed traveling, fly fishing, and spending time at his cabin in Colorado with his family.
Dan will be remembered for years of dedication to teaching and research in the field of concrete pavements, but more so for the kindness and support he showed to colleagues and students.
