9th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets to be Held in Washington, D.C. May 18-21

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text el_class=”cleanlist”]ICMPA9 LogoTRB, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Virginia Tech, the FHWA, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the World Road Association (PIARC) are organizing the 9th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets (ICMPA9) to be held May 18-21, 2015 in Alexandria, Virginia, located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, U.S.A.

Please note two important deadlines:

  • January 31: At least one author must register before for final papers
    to be included in the program.
  • February 18: Early registration closes.

The conference is aimed at defining the requirements for the “next generation” of pavement management tools needed, and to that effect it builds upon the following theme: “Moving pavement management beyond the short-term: embracing innovation and addressing sustainability, accountability, and improved performance”. This will be a unique forum to interact with colleagues from all over the world and will allow attendees to contribute to the shaping the next generation of approaches and systems used for managing our pavement assets.

Topics of discussion will include:

  1. The “next generation” of pavement management systems
  2. Sustainable design, construction, maintenance, and operation of pavement assets
  3. Performance measurement, implementation targets and contractual requirements
  4. Increasing the accountability of the various asset management stakeholders
  5. Innovative, effective and sustainable pavement management practices and applications
