Well-Attended All-Day “Concrete Pavement Innovation & Technology Transfer Workshop” Held June 25

The International Society of Concrete Pavements (ISCP) presented an all-day workshop titled Concrete Pavement Innovation and Technology Transfer Workshop at the Illinois Department of Transportation District 1 office in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA, near Chicago on June 25, 2015. The workshop was sponsored by Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT)ISCP, and ACPA-Illinois Chapter.

There were 85 participants in the workshop with 70% from government agencies and 30% from consultants. The workshop topics included concrete overlays, emerging technology for concrete pavements, precast slabs, dowel bar alignment, recycled materials, composite pavement design, and roller-compacted concrete. The ISCP Directors who participated in the workshop were:

  • Professor Neeraj Buch Department Chair of CEE at Michigan State University and President of ISCP
  • Professor Jeffery Roesler University of Illinois and Vice-President of ISCP
  • Dr. Mark Snyder Consultant and Past-President of ISCP
  • Professor Jake Hiller Michigan Tech University and Secretary/Treasurer of ISCP
  • Mr. Robert Rodden Executive Director ISCP
  • Professor Lev Khazanovich University of Minnesota and ISCP Director
  • Mr. Corey Zollinger Pavement Engineer at CEMEX and ISCP Director
