ASCP Celebrates 10 Years!

The Australian Society for Concrete Pavements (ASCP)
turned 10 years old in October!

ASCP was incorporated as an Association on October 2, 2007. During its first year of operation, the National Executive considered a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Society for Concrete Pavements (ISCP); had established work groups on RTA Specifications, and on Training; held four forums—one of which was about Industrial Pavements; and had its first annual general meeting (AGM) on March 31, 2008. By June of 2008, the ASCP website was established. ASCP has grown and widened its range of activities. In 2011, ASCP introduced biennial conferences. In its busy decade, the association has held 44 forums, and has presented 98 Grey Card courses to nearly 1,800 participants.

The members of ASCP’s FIRST National Executive were: Geoff Ayton, Tracy Edwards, Mark Hoskins, Michael Kartsounis, David Slingsby, and Avo Tinni. For more ASCP background and development, please download the PDF: http://www.concretepavements.com.au/Documents/ASCP%20Background%20and%20Development.pdf
