Lunch & Learns”

Finally, in terms of the CP Tech Center serving its local as well as national community by delivering informal Lunch & Learns”—with support from the Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) and the Iowa Department of Transportation (IowaDOT). Since 2006, the Lunch and Learns are FREE CP Tech Center training for professional development to pavement engineers in ten locations across Iowa every fall, winter, and spring—with each season’s topic is chosen by surveying the interests of previous attendees and concrete industry experts. Over the years, training has provided more than 6,000 total attendees state-of-the-industry insights from around the country and throughout Iowa on more than 40 technical topics related to the design, construction, and preservation of concrete pavements.
JANUARY: John Adam presented at the Winter “Lunch & Learns”: “Lessons Learned and Success Stories for Long-Life Concrete Pavements” to state, county, and municipal engineers in Council Bluffs and Sioux City, Iowa.
FEBRUARY: Jerod Gross presented at the Spring “Lunch & Learns”: “Basics of Concrete Paving Construction and Inspection” in Ankeny, Burlington, Davenport, Dubuque, Fairfield, and Mason City.
