The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CPTech Center)’s Executive Board of Directors provides outstanding guidance in business operations, including management and finances. The Board’s 17 members who include representatives of organizations that provide substantial financial support—and Angela Folkestad is one of them!
Angela Folkestad, P.E., Executive Director-Colorado/Wyoming Chapter-American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA), has recently joined the CP Tech Center Executive Board as the 2020 ACPA Chapter/State President. She brings to her new role extensive state association experience and ten years of familiarity with airport pavement engineering and construction management.
Folkestad earned her B.S. in civil engineering from Iowa State University in 1997 and worked as pavement engineer for the Colorado/Wyoming ACPA from 1997 to 2004. She then moved into consulting, first as airport project manager for the national design firm Carter & Burgess (acquired by Jacobs), then later as project Manager/Senior Project Manager for Jviation aviation engineering firm. In 2015, Folkestad came full circle, rejoining the Colorado/Wyoming ACPA as Executive Director.
Folkestad’s extensive feedback on second edition drafts of the CP Tech Center’s landmark reference/core manual, Integrated Materials and Construction Practices (IMCP) for Concrete Pavement (2019), promise future contributions that make her addition to the CP Tech Center Executive Board very welcome.
