IGGA Elects New Board Members for 2021

The International Grooving & Grinding Association (IGGA) has announced the election of new board members for 2021. The IGGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving as the leading technical and promotional resource for acceptance of diamond grinding and grooving as well as pavement preservation and restoration. Founded in 1972 for the development of the diamond grinding and grooving process for surfaces constructed with Portland cement concrete and asphalt, the IGGA joined with the American Concrete Association (ACPA) to form the “IGGA/ACPA Concrete Pavement Preservation Partnership (IGGA/ACPA CP3)”. The partnership serves as a technical resource and the marketing of optimized pavement surfaces, concrete pavement restoration, and pavement preservation around the world.


President:
Kevin Schneider, Manager, Grinding Division-Acme Concrete Paving, Inc. (Spokane, Washington)
Mr. Schneider began working for Acme Concrete Paving, Inc. in 2009. From 2009-2015, he worked in Acme’s Concrete Paving Division and began as project engineer, superintendent, then project manager. He spent much of his time in the Bakken oilfields of western North Dakota constructing highways and airports. Schneider has been Acme’s Grinding Division Manager since the fall of 2015, and he is Acme’s first representative on the IGGA Board of Directors.
Vice President:
Jake Steinberg, Co-Founder-Highway Materials, LLC (Becker, Minnesota)
Mr. Steinberg has been in the construction industry since 1991, when he became a project manager/estimator for Highway Services. In 2006, he began working for Construction Materials, Inc. in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and in 2014, he co-founded Highway Materials, LLC with business partners in Becker, Minnesota. Since 2012, Steinberg has been a member of the IGGA Board of Directors, chaired the Association’s communications committee for two years, and has served a term on the board of directors for the Concrete Paving Association of Minnesota.
Secretary:
Dan Iverson, Grinding and Grooving Coordinator-Diamond Products Limited (Elyria, Ohio)
Following his graduation from Bemidji State University in 1996, Mr. Iverson began working at Highway Services in Rogers, Minnesota (later acquired by Penhall Company). His experience includes work as a diamond grinder operator, superintendent, project manager, and operations manager. In 2012, he joined Diamond Products Limited as a grinding and grooving coordinator.
Treasurer:
Scott L. Eilken, Owner-Quality Saw & Seal, Inc. (Bridgeview, Ill.)
Mr. Eilken has been in the concrete drilling, sawing, sealing, grinding and grooving industry since 1977. For 13 years, he worked in the field and in the office for Accurate Coring (Greater Chicago area). Since 1990, he has owned and operated Quality Saw & Seal, Inc. He is currently involved in the Illinois State Chapter-ACPA; ACPA National; IGGA; the Illinois Road Builders Association; co-chairs the Seal/No Seal Group; and is an active member of Transportation Research Board (TRB) committees.
Director:
Al Adamek, President-Diamond Surface, Inc. (Rogers, Minnesota)
In 2009, Mr. Adamek began his career in the field with Diamond Surface, Inc. and moved into the position of estimator in 2013. He was promoted to Vice President, and then to President for the organization in 2019. He also serves on the board of the Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) and is actively involved with the Concrete Pavement Association of Minnesota (CPAM).
Director:
Jerry Voigt, President and CEO-American Concrete Pavement Association (Rosemont, Ill.)
Mr. Voigt has been with the association for 25 years and was appointed president in 2005. For many years, he was the association’s Director of Technical Services. Under his leadership in 2005, the concrete pavement industry created the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center (CP Tech Center) at Iowa State University. He also led the association through notable technology advancements, working with the IGGA to develop the “Next Generation Concrete Surface Texture”, creating the industry’s first webinars, and creating “Web apps” (Web-based paving technology applications and training).
International Director:
Charley Grady, Vice President and Director, International Group-Crafco, Inc. (Chandler, Arizona) 
Mr. Grady has served in a variety of industry associations as a board member, as well as co-chair of an industry association associated with pavement preservation. He has been with Crafco Inc. since 1991. Although, during his former responsibilities as the Vice President of Sales-TWT International, he was responsible for the development of the international activity for Crafco beginning in 1984. His experience encompasses promotion and education of various pavement preservation technologies and processes, with presentations in over 100 countries throughout his career.
