Highlights were several informative technical presentations, an award nomination, but mostly it was fantastic to meet industry colleagues in real life again! Thanks Australian Society for Concrete Pavements (ASCPconcrete) for a great event!” (LinkedIn post)

ASCP Member Completed Largest Road Transport
Infrastructure Project in Australia:

Dowsing Group has successfully completed the Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) scope in the Pyrmont Bridge Road section of Sydney, Australia’s largest motorway project—the “WestConnex M4-M5 Link Tunnels”—the largest road transport infrastructure project in Australia.

The project started in May 2020 and was completed the last week of February, when the Dowsing NSW Slipform team placed 28,300m3 (36,790y3) of concrete over a total area of 104,000m2 (124,384y2). The main lane paving works were completed using the Dowsing Group Wirtgen SP64 paver, and a second slipform paver was utilized to complete the narrower shoulder sections, which are usually hand poured. The utilization of both pavers sped up the program resulting in significant time savings for the client.

Dowsing Group is very proud to be involved in the largest road transport infrastructure project in Australia and continues to provide slipform services for the various stages of the “WestConnex project”.
