ISCP Represented at 12th BCRRA in Ljubljana, Slovenia

The International Society for Concrete Pavements was represented last week at the 12th International Conference on the Bearing Capacity of Roads, Railways, and Airfields (BCRRA) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Since its inception in the 1980’s, the BCRRA conference has gathered researchers, industry leaders, and governmental representatives from across the world to discuss critical issues and progress in transportation infrastructure. Concrete pavements has always been a key area of interest at this conference. The 12th iteration of this conference took place from June 22 – 24 in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.

Co-Directors of Communication Drs. Lucio Salles de Salles and Charles Donnelly both presented research topics related to concrete pavements. Dr. Salles presentation was titled: “Nondestructive Evaluation of Concrete Pavement Construction Uniformity: Case Study”. Dr. Donnelly’s presented was titled “Evaluating Corrosion Development on Dowel Bars in Concrete Pavements”. In addition to the presentations, Dr. Salles took time to introduce ISCP to the audience and describe recent events and efforts by the society.
